StudyHUD is a Chrome extension that helps users understand and save text while reading online.

What we collect When you highlight text, that selected text is sent to our server solely to generate an AI-powered explanation. We do not store this text after the response is returned.

Your highlights, notes, folders, and tags are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device except when you explicitly trigger an AI action.

What we don't collect We do not collect your name, email, location, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information.

Third parties Selected text is processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses. No other user data is shared with third parties.
